You can find us in Chousala, which is right in the Beed district. Our office, if you want to call it that, is at Nitin Tukaram Shinde’s place, house number 48. Beed is a place where you really have to know the weather to survive. We’ve all been farming here for as long as we can remember. F-Victor Agro is just a way for us to pool our resources and try to get better prices on things like seeds and equipment. Nitin’s house is where we gather in the evenings after the sun goes down and the work is mostly done. We aren’t city people with suits. We usually show up with mud on our boots and a lot of worries on our minds about the next monsoon. Chousala is a good community, and having this company makes us feel a little less isolated. We spend time talking about which crops might do better this year and how we can get them to the market without losing all our profit to the middlemen. It’s a lot of learning on the go. None of us went to business school, but we know how to grow things. We just handle the paperwork because we have to. Most of the time, we’d rather be out in the fields.
