Freshdirect Farmer Producer Company Limited

We are set up at the home of Dattatray Gadage in Ambi Khalsa, which is in the Sangamner taluka of Ahmednagar district. It’s a local farmer producer company and we keep things pretty low-key. Most of what we do happens right here in Ambi Khalsa or in the nearby fields. We don't have a big fancy sign or a reception desk, just the house where we manage the business. Sangamner is a good area for farming but it takes a lot of effort to keep everything organized. We spend our time talking to the other farmers in the group and figuring out the best way to get things done. It’s not a polished operation, and sometimes things get a little disorganized when we are in the middle of a harvest. We just try to be honest about what we can do and work hard every day. The company is basically a way for us to have a bit more say in how our produce is handled. We're just ordinary people who spend most of our lives outdoors. If you come by the village, you'll probably see us working or sitting around discussing the weather and the crops. It’s a simple way of living and we aren't trying to change that. We just want to keep the farming going for the long term.
