Deopimpri Agro Farmers Producer Company Limited is our little venture in Bhat Antarwali, which is part of Georai in the Beed district. We are at house number 108. Life in Beed is mostly about the land and how much water we can get for it. We are a bunch of farmers who realized that we were all facing the same problems with the markets and the traders. So we decided to join up and form this company. It is not a fancy setup. We meet under the trees or inside the office when the sun is too much. We try to get the best inputs we can for our members. Farming is a gamble every year. You plant the seeds and you hope for the best. By having this company, the gamble feels a little less scary because we are in it together. We do not have a marketing team or anything like that. We just tell the truth about what we grow and hope people buy it. Most of us have been doing this since we were kids, following our fathers into the fields. We want to keep the village strong. Sometimes the paperwork for the government is confusing, but we help each other out with it. It is just us, working the land and trying to be fair with one another. We do not care about looking professional, we just want to get the job done right every day and provide for our families.
