Chandrakant Lagad Agro Farmer Producer Company Limited is run from the home of Shri Chandrakant Sahebrao Lagad. We are located in Kekatpangri, which is part of the Georai taluka in Beed district. Being in a place like Beed, you learn a lot about how tough farming can be when the rain does not show up on time. Our company is really a community effort. We do not have a separate office building; we just use the space we have at the house to manage the paperwork and the meetings. People from all over the village come by to discuss the crops or the prices. It is a very informal way of doing business, but it is the way we have always done things here. We know every farmer in our group personally because we grew up together. There is no corporate polish here, just honest talk about soil, seeds, and water. Sometimes it is hard to keep everything organized when you are working from a home base, but we make it work because everyone pitches in.
