Jaura Cuisine

Jaura Cuisine is right there on Bus Stand Road in Maur Mandi. If you are getting off a bus or waiting for one to Bhatinda, you probably saw us already. It is a busy spot, always noisy with the horns and people rushing around. We have been running this place for a good while now. It is not a big fancy restaurant with air conditioning or anything like that, just a regular spot where you can sit down and get a meal. The tables are basic and we keep them wiped down as much as we can between customers. Being so close to the bus stand means we see a lot of different faces every day. Some people are just passing through and others live right here in Maur Mandi and come in once a week. My family helps out with the cooking and serving. We use what we can get from the local market nearby. Sometimes the morning rush is a bit much and we might run out of something, but we just make more. The kitchen is small but we know where everything is. We do not do anything fancy with the food, just the kind of things people around here like to eat every day. It gets quite warm in the summer months but the ceiling fans help a bit. We mostly focus on getting the food out reasonably fast so people do not miss their bus. That is pretty much who we are.
