Bhagat Ji Foods

We are located right in the middle of the Main Bazaar in Kotkapura. Being so close to National Highway 15 means there is always a lot of noise and people moving about. The shop is a busy place especially in the mornings when the stock arrives. We spend a lot of time just moving crates and making sure everything is where it should be. The building is old and the stairs are a bit narrow but it has been our home for a long time. People from the village come in throughout the day. Some are just passing through on their way to the highway and others are neighbors we have known for twenty years. We keep things simple here. The floor gets swept many times a day because of the dust from the street. There is a small counter where we handle the bills and it’s usually covered in notebooks and pens. We don’t have much in the way of decoration. Just the food items and the shelves. Sometimes the electricity goes out and we have to use the lanterns for a bit. It gets hot in the summer months but the breeze from the front door helps a little. We just focus on the daily tasks like weighing things out and talking to the suppliers who pull their trucks up near the back. It’s a steady life in a busy town.
