Amrik Dhaba

If you are driving through Bhatinda and hit the Mehna Chowk, you’ll see us on the Main Road. We’re right near the Shiv Mandir, which is a good landmark if you get lost. This dhaba has been a part of the chowk for a long time. It’s a busy corner, and there’s always someone stopping for a quick bite or a tea. The atmosphere is pretty loud because of the traffic and the temple bells nearby. We don’t have fancy menus or air conditioning; it’s just benches and tables where anyone is welcome to sit. Our kitchen is always going, with the smell of tadka and fresh rotis filling the air. We use big steel plates and glasses because they’re durable. Sometimes the floor gets a bit muddy when it rains, but we sweep it out as often as we can. Most of our customers are locals who work nearby or drivers passing through. We don’t overcomplicate the food. It’s just the same stuff we’ve been making for years. The staff is like a small family, mostly staying right here or very close by. It’s a hard life working over hot stoves all day, but we’re used to it. We aren't trying to be a fancy restaurant, just a proper dhaba where you can get a full stomach without spending too much. If you need a refill of dal, you just have to shout out.
