Gold Star Foundry

Our foundry is situated where Circular Road meets the Link Road in Krishan Nagar. A foundry is a hot and heavy place to work, and ours is no different from any other. We spend our days melting metal and pouring it into molds. It’s a lot of physical labor and the heat from the furnaces is something you never really get used to, you just learn to live with it after a while. We make all sorts of castings. Some are small and simple, others are quite large and take a lot of preparation before we can even start the pour. The floors are covered in sand and soot, and the air has that metallic smell you only find in places like this. We aren't a high-tech facility with robots or fancy computers. We do things mostly by hand and rely on the experience of the guys who have been doing this for decades. Krishan Nagar is a busy area, and being near the Link Road helps us get the raw materials in without too much trouble from the traffic. We don't have a marketing team or anything like that. People know us because they’ve seen our work or because they’ve been coming here for years and know what to expect. It’s a tough way to make a living, but there’s a sense of real satisfaction when you see a finished piece come out of the mold just right and it’s ready to be sent off to the customer.
