Sendhwa Mahila Kisan Producer Company Limited has its office near the church. We are set up at the Janpad Panchayat CEO’s office area in Sendhwa. The pincode is 451666. This is a company run entirely by women farmers from around the Sendhwa region. We are right in the middle of the town, so it is easy for everyone to reach us by bus or on foot. Being near the church makes for a very good landmark for visitors. We don’t have a fancy corporate building with lots of staff. We just have a dedicated space where we can sit and manage the farming business together. Most days you’ll find a few of us there talking about the upcoming season or checking on the different government schemes available to us. We work closely with the local authorities since we are located right there at the Janpad Panchayat. It’s a practical setup that saves us a lot of time. We aren’t polished professionals in suits; we are women who spend our time in the fields and then come here to handle the necessary paperwork. It’s a bit of a juggle sometimes with our homes and families. The office can get crowded with people coming in for help or to join the group. We try to keep things moving along as best as we can. We just want to make sure the women farmers in Sendhwa have a voice.
