Katarmata Samradh Mahila Kisan Producer Company Limited is our group here. We are located where the state rural livelihood mission operates in our area. It’s a group of us women from the nearby villages who decided to pool our resources and knowledge. Farming alone is a real struggle, especially when you’re trying to balance everything at home too. We started this company to give us a bit more strength when we go to market to sell our crops. We don't have a big corporate background or any formal training. Most of us learned everything we know from our parents out in the dirt when we were young. We deal with the usual crops like cotton or grain and try to find ways to make the work a bit more profitable for every family involved. The paperwork can be a real headache sometimes, but we help each other through it at the office. We meet up and discuss what we need for the next season and who has the best yield. It’s very practical and down to earth. You won’t find any big speeches here, just talk about fertilizer, rain, and the high cost of transport these days. We are just trying to build something that lasts for our kids so they have a better start. It’s a community thing more than a business thing, really. We are proud of what we’ve managed to do so far in our small way. We're just locals trying to keep things going.
