Sendhwa Farmer Producer Company Limited

Down in the Parasiya Kekadiya area, right by the Anjanganv school in Sendhwa, is where we spend most of our time. If you follow the path past the school buildings, you’ll find us near the Phalya Patel spot. It’s a real rural area, very quiet except for the sounds of the kids at the school and the tractors going by on the main track. Sendhwa Farmer Producer Company Limited is just our way of sticking together as farmers in this part of Barwani. The sun gets really hot out here, and the ground gets dry fast, so we spend a lot of our time thinking about water and how to keep things growing. We aren’t some big polished business. We’re just a bunch of guys who grew up around here and decided it was better to work as a group than to try and fight the market alone. Our office is just a plain room where we keep our seed bags and some old ledgers. It gets a bit dusty, and the roof might leak a little when it really pours during the monsoon, but it works for us. We don’t have any big speeches to give about what we do. We just grow our crops, try to get a decent price for them, and look out for each other when things get tough. It’s a hard way to make a living, but it’s our life, and we’re used to it. We just keep moving forward, one season at a time.
