Jain Traders

Jain Traders is located at Pratap Ji Ki Pole, which is one of those old parts of the city where the history is everywhere. The lanes are narrow and the buildings are built very close together. We have been here for a long time now. The shop is on the ground floor and it has high ceilings that stay cool even when the sun is hitting the street. We sell a variety of goods and keep everything organized on heavy wooden shelves. We don't use much fancy technology here. Most of our accounts are still written down in the big red registers. People in the pole know us well and often stop by just to say hello or have a quick chat. It’s a very social way of doing business. We open the heavy wooden doors early in the morning. The light inside is a little dim, but we know exactly where every item is stored. We don't spend money on big ads or shiny signs. Our reputation comes from years of just being here and doing our job. Sometimes a stray dog will sleep right in front of the entrance, and we just walk around it. It’s a slow and steady way to work. We deal with the same suppliers we have known for decades. There is a lot of trust in these narrow streets. When the day is over, we pull down the shutters and walk home through the quiet pole.
