Maanaganarayan Agro Navfed Farmers Producer Company Limited

Our place is out in Barmer, specifically at Dhanni Devi’s home in Sau Kidhani Charalai Kala. It’s in the Kalyanpur area, which is pretty far out if you’re coming from the city. Maanaganarayan Agro Navfed is just us trying to make the farming life a bit more stable in this dry part of Rajasthan. The dust gets everywhere, and the sun is really something else, but we’re used to it. We don't have a big staff. It’s mostly family and neighbors helping out. Dhanni Devi’s house serves as our main hub where we keep the books and meet with the local farmers. It’s not a fancy office. There are usually sacks of grain or tools leaning against the wall. We spend our days talking to people about their fields and what they need for the next season. Being in Barmer means we have to be tough because the weather isn't always kind to the crops. We aren't trying to be some huge corporation. We just want to make sure the farmers in Kalyanpur get a fair shake. People stop by at all hours, usually with a question about their produce or just to see what the market prices are looking like. It’s a lot of sitting on the floor, drinking tea, and figuring out the logistics of getting things to the market. It’s simple, slow work, but it matters to everyone living out here in the village.
