Samdani Agro Product

Village Samdari is where we stay. It’s in Barmer district. My name is Abdul Gani, and I work here with Umardin Chhipa. We are based out of Mukampur, which is right near the bypass. Being near the bypass helps because the trucks can get in and out without getting stuck in the smaller village lanes. We handle agro products. This part of Rajasthan is dry, so we deal with whatever the local land gives us. It’s a quiet place most of the time, except when the harvest comes in. Then it gets very dusty and loud with all the tractors. Our office isn’t much to look at. It’s just a room with some chairs and a lot of paperwork. We spend our time talking to farmers and looking at the quality of the seeds or the grain. Sometimes we sit outside under the shade because the sun gets very hot in Barmer. The bypass is always humming with traffic going to the city. We’ve been doing this for years, just moving products from the village to wherever they need to go. It’s a lot of manual work, checking bags and making sure the weights are right. We don't use any big computers or anything, just our ledgers. If you come by, you’ll probably see us near the entrance, just waiting for the next load to arrive. It’s a simple life here in Samdari. We keep things running how we can, even when the heat is tough.
