You have to go out to Alamsar in Chohtan to find us. We are based at Mag Dan’s place. It’s a bit of a trek if you aren't from around here. Dhanau Progressive Farmer Producer Company Limited was started by a group of us who wanted to see things get a bit better for the local farmers. Chohtan is a rugged place and life isn't always easy out here on the edge of the desert. We call ourselves progressive, but really we are just trying to find smarter ways to handle our crops and the market. We don't have a big office building with a sign. Usually, meetings happen under a tree or in Mag Dan’s front room. There is always a lot of talk about rain and the wind, because that’s what dictates our lives. We are just a collective of farmers. No one here is a big boss. We all have dirt on our hands from the day's work. Sometimes the internet is slow and we can't get the paperwork sent off to the city, but we don't let it bother us too much. We just wait for a better signal and try again later. It’s about sticking together and making sure no one gets left behind. We don't have any corporate slogans or missions. We just have our land and our neighbors.
