Hindalco Industry

Our place is at Quarter number B/18 in the River Side Colony of Hindalco Hirakud. If you know Orissa at all, you know that Hirakud is famous for the dam, and we are situated right in the middle of that industrial landscape. The River Side Colony is a peaceful enough spot, mostly filled with people who work for the industry. Living and working in the same area means you always run into your colleagues at the grocery store or while taking a walk by the river in the evening. It’s a tight-knit community here. Hindalco Industry has been the backbone of this town for years, and our office is just a small part of that massive operation. We don’t have any big corporate banners or anything. It’s just a standard house-turned-office where we keep the records and handle the logistics. The view near the river is nice when the weather is clear, though the winters can get surprisingly chilly around these parts. We spend our days dealing with whatever comes up, usually related to the local production and staff management. It’s a very practical lifestyle. There’s no rush like you’d find in a big city, but the work is constant and keeps us busy. We just focus on our tasks, talk to the neighbors, and try to keep everything running as it should in this little corner of the colony by the water.
