Vedanta Resources, Balco

We are located at Laxmi Bhawan on the Main Road in Baheramal. If you know the area in Jharsuguda, you know this road gets quite a bit of traffic during the day. We share space here and work on things for the Balco side of Vedanta. It is more of an administrative spot where we keep track of things away from the main industrial noise. Lk Pradhan’s place is easy to find if you are heading down the main stretch. Most of us here have been in the area for years so we know the local shops and the neighbors pretty well. We spend a lot of time on the phone or going through files. It’s a standard setup with desks and chairs and a lot of paper. Sometimes it gets a bit loud with the trucks passing by outside but that is just part of being on the Main Road. We handle some of the back-end stuff that helps the bigger operations run. It isn't a massive glass building or anything like that. Just a regular office space in a building people recognize. We take our tea breaks at the stall nearby and get back to work. It’s a practical place to be based because it is central to everything we need to do in Jharsuguda. We just keep our heads down and get through the tasks for the day.
