Soma Ladies Beauty Parlour

I run Soma Ladies Beauty Parlour here on Station Road. We are very close to the New Barrackpur Railway Station in Kolkata. You can hear the trains passing by all day long. It’s a busy spot. I opened this place because there weren't many options for women in this part of New Barrackpur to get their basic grooming done without going too far. I handle everything myself mostly. Sometimes a niece helps out on busy weekends. It is not a big studio with fancy lights. It is just a room with a couple of chairs, a washbasin, and some curtains for privacy. Most of my clients are ladies who are either coming from the station or heading there for work. They usually want a quick eyebrow threading or a hair oil massage. I keep my prices fair because I know everyone is working hard. The walls are painted a light color to make the space feel a bit bigger. I have some jars of creams and hair clips on the shelf. It’s a bit messy sometimes when I’m busy, but I try to keep it tidy. Women come here to talk and relax for a bit away from their household chores. I listen to their stories and do my work. It’s a small business, but it’s mine. I am happy to be near the station where everyone can find me easily after they get off the train.
