Ayushi Ladies Beauty Parlour

This parlour is my life’s work, located right in Narayanpur within the Rajarhat Gopalpur area of Kolkata. It is tucked into a corner of the neighborhood where things are a bit quieter than the main city center. I have lived around here for years, so setting up shop in Narayanpur felt like the right thing to do. The room is painted a soft color because I find it easier on the eyes during long days. I have a shelf full of different creams and bottles that I’ve organized by size, though they always end up mixed up by the end of a busy afternoon. The chairs are comfortable enough for someone to sit in for an hour while I work. I don't use any big machines or loud equipment, mostly just my hands and some basic tools. The window looks out onto the street, and I like to see the seasons change through the glass. When it rains, the sound on the roof is quite loud, but it makes the place feel cozy. Most of my customers come from the nearby houses, walking over in their slippers for a quick visit. We don't have a receptionist or anything; I just answer the phone myself when it rings. It’s a simple way to run a business, but it works for me and the people who live around here. I just try to keep everything tidy and ready for the next person.
