Smart Computer Solutions

Smart Computer Solutions is tucked away in the Laricatownship Mall in Barasat, specifically at unit B-144. It’s a small shop, mostly filled with opened-up laptops, tangled power cables, and shelves of spare parts. We’ve been here for a while, helping people who have crashed hard drives or broken screens. The mall can get pretty busy on weekends, but during the week, it’s mostly just us and the other shopkeepers. We don't have a big team; it's just a couple of us who know our way around a motherboard. The workbench is always a mess of tiny screws and screwdrivers. We spend a lot of time waiting for software to install or scanning for viruses. It’s not a high-end tech center with glass walls. It’s just a place where you can bring your computer if it’s acting up. Sometimes we can fix things quickly, and other times we have to tell people to leave their machines for a few days while we wait for a part to arrive. We get a lot of students from around Barasat coming in because their laptops died right before an assignment was due. We try to be honest about whether something is worth fixing or if it’s time to get a new one. There’s always a radio playing in the background to keep things from being too quiet while we work. It’s a simple business in a busy mall.
