Mukherjee Computer

Mukherjee Computer is located in the Bijoy Nagar area. It is a small shop that stays packed with old monitors, dusty keyboards, and various computer parts. We spend most of our time here hunched over our workbenches with small screwdrivers and soldering irons. There is usually a big pile of old computer towers in the far corner waiting to be looked at. It is not the most organized place in the world, but we know where every single tool and spare part is kept. The cooling fans are always humming in the background to keep the hardware from overheating. Bijoy Nagar is a nice, local neighborhood to be in. We get a lot of people from the nearby houses coming in because their laptop suddenly stopped working or they just need a new power cable. We try to talk to them in plain English, without using all that technical jargon that usually confuses people. It is just a couple of us working here most days. We have a small wooden bench where people can sit while they wait for a quick fix. The front shop window is usually full of old posters for various software or hardware brands. We stay busy with repairs and sometimes building a custom machine if someone specifically asks for one. It gets a bit hot in the summer with all the electronics running, but we have a decent ceiling fan. We are just a local shop that stays busy with the basics.
