Rupmahal Ladies Beauty Parlour

Our little parlor is tucked away at 2 No. Sreenagar in Kolkata. Most people in the area know the Durgamandap, and since we are right near it, it’s a very familiar spot for the ladies living around here. We’ve been operating out of this space for a while, and it has become a bit of a gathering point. It isn’t a huge place, just a couple of chairs and the usual equipment you’d expect to find. During the festival times, especially with the mandap so close, it gets incredibly busy and a bit loud with all the activity outside. On normal days, it is much quieter, and we just handle the usual stuff like threading, hair oiling, or basic cuts. The floor is a bit uneven in places, and the curtains have seen better days, but it’s clean and it works for us. We know most of our customers by name because they have been coming to us for years. It’s the kind of place where people come to catch up on local news while they get their work done. We don't have any fancy signs or big advertisements. Most people find us just by walking past or hearing about us from a neighbor. It’s just a simple, honest business run by people who live right here in the community. We just focus on getting the job done so people leave looking a bit better than when they walked in.
