M/S Amit Dey

We are based out of Saipala village. If you’re looking for us, we’re right by the New Pragati Sangha landmark. It’s a quiet spot in 24 Parganas North. Most of the people around here are locals who have lived here forever. Amit started this a while back just to have something steady to do. It’s not a big company with a lot of people in suits. Usually, you’ll just find a couple of us sitting around the office area dealing with the day's work. The village life is slow, but we stay busy enough. The road near the Sangha gets a bit dusty in the summer and muddy when it rains, but we don't mind much. We don't have a website or anything like that. Most of our work comes from people in the surrounding villages who know us by name. We handle the local stuff, whatever needs doing. We don't have any big goals of moving to the city. We like it here in Saipala. The office is small, just enough space for a desk and some chairs. We keep things simple. No complicated systems or fancy technology. We just write things down and make sure the jobs get finished. It’s a basic way to run things, but it works for us. We’ve been here for years and the neighbors are all friendly. Sometimes we sit outside when the weather is nice. It's a peaceful place to work, even when there's a lot to do.
