You’ll find Modify Ladies Beauty Parlour right on Sodepur Road, directly opposite Basunagar Gate No 1. It’s a busy spot in the 700129 area of Kolkata. We’ve been operating out of this shop for a while now. It’s a basic setup, nothing too fancy or over the top. We mainly serve the ladies from the Basunagar area and those who live along Sodepur Road. The shop gets a lot of natural light in the mornings. We do all the standard things like threading, waxing, and hair styling. It’s a small team of us here. We don’t use any big corporate language; we just talk to our customers like they’re our neighbors, because most of them are. Sometimes the traffic outside is a bit much, but once you’re inside, we try to keep things calm. We don’t have a website or anything like that. Most people just walk in or call us because they saw the sign while passing Gate No 1. It’s a practical place for busy women to get their stuff done without making a big deal out of it. We keep our tools clean and our mirrors wiped down. Every day is about getting the work done and making sure people leave looking a bit better than when they came in. It’s a steady life here in Kolkata. We open the shutters in the morning and stay until the last customer is finished. That's just how we run things here at the shop.
