Kaya Kalp Beauty Parlour

Kaya Kalp Beauty Parlour is my small business over in Rajarhat, specifically in the Kathgola area. Kolkata is growing so fast, and Rajarhat looks different every year, but our little corner in Kathgola still feels like the old days. I have been running this parlour for quite some time now. It is a very simple setup. I have my mirrors, my creams, and my combs. It is a place for the local women to come when they have a little time for themselves. Sometimes they bring their kids, and the shop gets a bit noisy, but I don't mind. I do things like threading, waxing, and hair cuts. Nothing like what you see on TV with the fancy lights. It is just a room where we can sit and talk while I work. The walls could probably use a new coat of paint, but for now, they are fine. In the monsoon, the rain hits the roof quite hard, and we sometimes have to talk louder to hear each other. I enjoy the work because it is what I know. People from the nearby houses come in, and we discuss everything happening in the neighborhood. I don't have a big website or anything. Just my name on the door and the work I do every day. It is a quiet life in Kathgola, and I like it that way. I am usually here from morning until late evening.
