Good Luck Hair Cutting Saloon

The shop is right on the ground floor at 91 C on Rajarhat Main Road. If you are coming from the Mahalaxmi Garden Complex, we are just across the street. It’s a busy spot in Rajarhat Gopalpur. We open up early most mornings, sweeping the floor and getting the chairs ready before the first people start walking by on their way to work. Kolkata can get really humid, so the fan is always running in here. It’s not a big place, just enough room for a few chairs and the mirrors. We keep things pretty simple. There’s always the sound of traffic outside, cars honking and people talking on the sidewalk. Most of the folks who come in live right around here or work nearby. We’ve seen the neighborhood change a bit over the years, but the shop stays mostly the same. The walls have some old pictures and we keep our tools lined up on the counter. It’s just a regular hair cutting saloon where you can sit down and take a break from the heat for a bit. We don't have fancy lights or anything like that. Just the basic stuff you need for a haircut. Sometimes the chai wala comes by and we take a quick break. It is a local business and we know most of our neighbors by name. We just focus on doing the work and keeping the place tidy enough for the next person.
