You can find us right on the New Barrackpur Main Road which is very close to the railway station. Being so near the station means there is always a lot of movement and noise outside our doors. Gitanjali Ladies Beauty Parlour focuses on serving the women who live around this part of North 24 Parganas. Many of our customers stop by while they are out doing their daily shopping or after they get off the train from work. It is a small space but we have managed to fit everything we need for hair cutting, threading, and basic facials. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint but the atmosphere is friendly and relaxed. We talk about local news and family stuff while we work. It is not one of those high-end places you see in the city center. This is a local spot where neighbors meet and catch up. We try to keep the prices fair so that everyone can afford to come in once in a while. Sometimes the fans are a bit loud and the street traffic can be heard inside but nobody seems to mind much. We have been here in Kolkata for a good while now and have seen the neighborhood change quite a bit over the years. We just keep our heads down and do the work that needs doing. It is nice to be a part of the daily life here in New Barrackpur and see familiar faces.
