Out here in Aluwa Mau, things move a bit slower but the work never really stops. Mahekverma Farmer Producer Company Limited is basically just us farmers trying to get a better handle on things. Neeraj Kumar helps out with the paperwork and keeping things organized at his place in Siddhaur. We spend most of our mornings out in the fields before the sun gets too hot. There is always something that needs fixing, whether it’s a pump or a fence. We started this because doing everything alone was getting too difficult. Now we can share tools and figure out the market together without so much stress. It’s a simple setup. You won't find any shiny signs or big glass buildings here. It is just a rural life where we talk about wheat, rice, and whatever else is growing in the dirt. Sometimes the harvests are great and sometimes they are a bit thin, but that is how it goes. People in the village know where to find us if they need to talk about seeds or fertilizers. We don’t have any big speeches. We just work hard and hope for good weather. Being part of 225414 means we look out for each other. It’s just a group of regular people trying to make a living from the ground. It’s honest work and it keeps us busy from dawn till dusk every single day.
