Our group is Barabanki Suratganj Farmer Producer Company Limited. We are based in Gagauraruhera, which is over in the Ramnagar part of Fatehpur. Suraj Yadav is the one who keeps the records at his place. We are all just local farmers who have been working these same fields for generations. We decided to start this company because we wanted to have more control over how we sell our crops. It is not some big corporate venture. It is just a few dozen of us trying to make things a little easier. We deal with all the usual stuff like getting fertilizer and seeds at a price we can actually afford. Then we work together to get the harvest to the buyers. It involves a lot of manual labor and long hours under the sun. We do not have any fancy marketing people or a big office building. We just have our homes and our fields. If you come looking for us in Gagauraruhera, you will find us busy with the tractors or sorting through grain bags. We talk about the crops and the market prices every single day. It is just the way life is here. We do not have any big speeches to give. We are just honest people trying to do right by our land and our families. It is a simple setup but it has helped us stay organized in a way we never were before.
