Krishi Unnayan Agro Producer Company Limited

Our group is based out of Lachhmanpur, which is in the Gangajalghati area of Bankura. We are located at Mauza No 67, and we use Dhirendranath Mondal’s place as our main point of contact. Bankura is a place where people know the value of hard work, especially when it comes to the land. We started this agro producer company because we wanted to have a better way for the farmers in our village to work together. It’s not a fancy business with big buildings. Most of our meetings happen in simple rooms or even outdoors. We talk about the crops, the soil, and how we can get a fair deal for what we grow. Being an agro producer sounds a bit official, but really, we are just a bunch of neighbors trying to improve our situation. We handle the administrative stuff because we have to, but our hearts are in the fields. It’s a slow process getting everyone on the same page, and we’ve had our fair share of mistakes along the way. We don't have any polished mission statements. We just want to make sure the work we do in Lachhmanpur counts for something. Whether it’s seeds, tools, or selling the harvest, we try to do it as a team. It’s just us, working with what we have in this corner of West Bengal. It feels good to have something of our own that helps the local families keep their farms going year after year.
