Our spot is at #33, K.No. 79/!3 on the 2nd Cross in Kempapura, Hebbal. This part of Bangalore is always changing because of the flyover and all the new buildings. We are tucked away near Amani Kere. We do market trading here. It involves a lot of back and forth with suppliers and customers. Our office is pretty modest. We have some computers, a few chairs that have seen better days, and stacks of files. It’s not a place for showing off. We just need a roof over our heads to handle the trades. The street outside can get muddy when it rains. We often have people coming in to talk about prices or delivery schedules. It’s a lot of talk and a lot of paperwork. Sometimes we just sit outside for a bit to get some air. The lake is nearby so there is a bit of a breeze. We don’t have a big sign or anything fancy. People who need us usually know where to find us. We deal with all sorts of market goods. It’s unpredictable work. One day is slow and the next we are working late into the night. We keep a kettle in the corner for making tea. It’s how we survive the long hours. We’re just regular people trying to make the trades work. It’s just us doing our best with the markets.
