Metukaha Farmer Producer Company Limited

Metukaha is where we are based, specifically at Ashwani Kumar’s place. He is Ram Kamal’s son, and their family has been here in Payagpur for a long time. Bahraich is a place where farming is the main thing everyone does to get by. We put this company together because doing everything solo was getting too expensive and tiring. When you have a group, you can buy stuff together and maybe get a better price. We aren't trying to be some big corporation. We are just a group of farmers from Metukaha village. Some days are good and some are bad, depending on the sun and the rain. We handle the business side of things from the village house, but most of the real action is in the fields. It’s a lot of paperwork which we aren't always great at, but we manage. We chose the name Metukaha Farmer Producer Company Limited because it represents our home. Our kids go to school here and we hope they can keep farming if they want to. We just want to make sure the ground stays healthy and we can sell our crops without losing money. It is a simple goal, but it takes a lot of effort from everyone involved. We just keep moving forward, one season at a time, trying to make things work out for the community here.
