Aryama Agro Producer Company Limited

Our office is at Sudhir Kumar’s house in Gilauli Doobkalan. That’s in the Shravasti district. It’s a very quiet area, mostly just fields and small houses for miles. Aryama Agro Producer Company Limited is basically a group of us trying to do a bit better with our farming. We grow what we can and try to find buyers who won't cheat us. It’s a lot of waiting for the right season. Sudhir’s place is easy enough to find if you know the village. We don’t have any fancy signs or big advertisements out front. We just talk to the neighbors. Most people around here are farmers anyway, so they know the drill. We deal with the basics like wheat, rice, and whatever else the season allows. It’s not like those big companies you see in the cities. We wear regular clothes and work with our hands every day. Sometimes we sit under the big tree and talk about the new government schemes. It’s slow work. Shravasti is a bit out of the way, so we have to be self-reliant. We handle the collection of the produce and try to get a fair rate for everyone involved. It’s not always easy. Sometimes the weather ruins everything we’ve worked for. But we’ve lived here all our lives. We are used to the ups and downs. We just keep going because that’s all you can do. It's a simple life for us here.
