Mudhol Bilagi Farmers Producer Company Limited

Our group, Mudhol Bilagi Farmers Producer Company Limited, is set up at house number 136 on Kalam Road, over in Sai Nagar Ward 5. It’s a busy enough area, and the office is easy to spot if you're coming down the main road into town. We started this because farming in the Mudhol and Bilagi areas can be tough when you’re doing it all by yourself. We have a lot of members now, all of us from nearby villages. We use the office to keep track of who needs what supplies and where we’re sending the produce each week. It gets pretty crowded and loud in there during the harvest months. There’s always someone coming in with a question about their crops or needing help with some government forms. We aren’t experts in business, we’re just people who know how to grow things in this soil. We’ve had to learn a lot about how to run a company as we went along. There have been some mistakes with the books and some long nights trying to figure out the finances, but we’re still here doing the work. The neighborhood in Sai Nagar is good, and people around here know us by name. We don't put on any acts; we’re just working to make sure our families are okay. It’s about getting a better price for the sugarcane or whatever else we’re growing this season. It's steady work for us.
