We’re located at House Number 21 in Wadji, which is a small village in the Paithan area. Zinjurde Gojre Agro Producer Company Limited started because a few of us neighbors realized we were all facing the same problems with the soil and the water. Aurangabad can get pretty dry, and managing the irrigation is always on our minds. We aren't some big corporation with suits; we are just local farmers. If you stop by the house, you’ll probably find someone drinking tea and looking over some receipts. We handle things like seeds and fertilizers for the group. It’s a lot of back and forth with the suppliers, and sometimes they don't deliver on time, which is a real headache for everyone involved. We try to keep things simple. My cousin does some of the typing when he’s not busy with his own fields. We’ve got cotton and some pulses growing most of the time. It’s hard to keep up with all the new rules the government puts out for these companies, but we do our best to stay on track. The village is small, so everyone knows what’s going on with the harvest anyway. We just wanted a way to stand together so we don't get pushed around by the middleman. It isn't always easy, and some days we wonder why we took on the extra work, but then we see the results in the field.
