We are located in Andhari, which is a village in the Sillod taluka of Aurangabad. You can find us at Jaywantrao Sandu Gore’s place. It’s a very rural spot, and that’s exactly where we need to be since we are all farmers. We started Suyogi Farmers Producer Company Limited because the middlemen were taking too much and we weren't seeing enough for our hard work. Now, we try to handle things ourselves. It’s a lot of work and none of us were really trained to run a company. We’re learning as we go. Some days we make mistakes with the accounts or the scheduling, but we always figure it out. The sun in Aurangabad can be brutal, so we usually meet up early or late in the evening to discuss our plans. We deal with whatever crops are in season, mostly cotton or maize depending on the year. We don’t have a fancy office with computers and revolving chairs. We usually just sit on the porch or under a tree and go through our notes. It’s a community effort more than a business. We all know each other’s families and we all want to see the village do well. We aren't here to give you a sales pitch. We’re just trying to grow good stuff and get a fair price for it. That’s about all there is to it for us.
