Skmn Farmer Producer Company Limited

We started Skmn Farmer Producer Company Limited because a few of us here in Porgaon wanted to figure out a better way to handle our crops. It is just a group of local farmers trying to work together instead of everyone doing their own thing alone. Our office is set up at House Number 209 right here in the village. If you live around Paithan, you probably know the area. It gets pretty busy during the harvest season. We spend most days talking about seeds, weather, and where to sell what we grow. It isn't a big fancy office with carpets or anything. Just a place where we keep our papers and meet up. Sometimes the rains are good and sometimes they aren't, so we try to help each other out when things get tough. Being a producer company means we have to follow certain rules, but at the end of the day, we are just neighbors. We don't have a big marketing team writing this. I'm just sitting here at the desk in Porgaon writing down what we do. We deal with the daily struggles of farming in this part of Maharashtra. Some days are long, especially when the machinery breaks down or the market prices drop. But we keep at it because this is what we know. If you are passing through the village, you can find us at the post office area. We are just trying to make a living and keep the farms going for the next generation. It’s hard work, but doing it together makes it a bit easier for everyone involved.
