We’re based out of Raigaon, specifically at Deorao Manke’s place. It’s G No 4 in the Kannad area. We’re a group of farmers who decided to team up. It makes things easier when it’s time to buy supplies or sell what we’ve grown. We don't have a big fancy office. It’s usually just us sitting around a table or standing in the yard talking shop. We deal with all sorts of local crops. Everyone brings something different to the table. Some are good with the machinery, others know the soil better. We try to use that to our advantage at Siddesh Raigaon Farmer Producer Company Limited. It isn't always smooth sailing. We have disagreements about when to sell or what to plant next. But at the end of the day, we’re all neighbors. We’ve known each other for years. The company is just a way to make it official. We handle the transport and the storage together. It saves us a lot of headaches. You won't find any polished sales pitches here. We’re just people who work the land. We worry about the same things every farmer does, like the pests and the market prices. We just face those things as a group now. It’s a solid way to work. We keep it simple and stay focused on the fields. It’s better than trying to do it all by yourself. We just take it as it comes.
