You can find us in Lohgaon, which is in the Shindakheda area. We are set up at Chintaman Shrava Mali’s house, number 177. Shuchih Farmers Producer Company Limited is what we call ourselves. It’s a small village setup, and most of us have known each other our whole lives. We started this because it’s getting harder to do everything on your own as a single farmer. By coming together, we can manage the sales and the seeds a bit better. We don’t have a fancy storefront or anything like that. Most of the time, someone is just sitting on the porch talking about the weather or the price of fertilizer. Shindakheda can be a bit dry, so we’re always keeping an eye on the water levels. Our work is very hands-on. We spend our mornings in the fields and our afternoons dealing with the business side of things. It’s not always smooth, and sometimes we disagree on what to plant, but we eventually figure it out. We don’t have a website or do any big promotions. We just focus on what’s growing in the ground right now. It’s a practical way of living, and we’re quite used to the hard work. Life in Lohgaon is quiet for the most part, except when it’s time to harvest. Then everyone is busy and the house gets quite full of people coming and going with different loads.
