Our group, Shri Rudrishwar Farmer Producer Company Limited, operates out of Tapargaon in the Kannad area of Aurangabad. If you are looking for us, we are basically located at Mohite Keshavrao Balwantrao’s place. He is one of us, and his house has kind of become the hub for everything we do. In this part of Maharashtra, the weather can be a bit of a gamble, but we have got some good people here who know the land better than anyone. We decided to register as a company because it felt like the right time to do things officially, even though we have been working together informally for a long time. We are not experts in business talk, so we just speak plainly about what needs doing in the fields. Most of us grow things that suit the Aurangabad climate. Sometimes we meet up under a tree or on a porch to discuss which fertilizers are working or where to sell the next batch of produce. It is not a polished operation, and we definitely make mistakes with the administrative stuff now and then. But the goal is just to help the farmers around Tapargaon get by. We focus on the practical side of farming, like sharing tools or figuring out transport. It is a local effort through and through, run by people who actually have dirt under their fingernails every day and care about the local harvest.
