If you look for us, we are right at Plot No 52 Mahajan Colony, N-2, Cidcomukund Co-Op Aurangabad. Shreenatraj Farmer Producer Company Limited is basically a bunch of us from around the district who decided to work as a team. Aurangabad gets very hot in the summer, and the ground gets dry, so we have to be smart about what we plant. We use this office in the colony to handle the business side of things. Most people think farming is just about the fields, but there is a lot of paperwork nowadays. We chose Mahajan Colony because it was easy for everyone to reach. It’s a regular neighborhood, nothing special about it. We have our meetings there, drinking tea and trying to figure out how to get a better price for our harvest. It wasn't easy getting all the farmers to agree on things at first. We are just regular people who know what it is like to work in the sun all day. We don't have a big corporate team, it's just us and a few helpers. Being in the Cidcomukund area means we are close to the main parts of the city but our hearts are still out on the farms. We handle our own logistics and try to keep costs down. That is how we operate every day from our little spot at Plot 52. It’s not much, but it’s where we get the work done and keep the lights on.
