Shree-Adhishree Farmer Producer Company Limited

We are over at G No 116 in Shelgaon. It’s a quiet spot near Digavpandhi if you know the Kannad area well. Shree-Adhishree Farmer Producer Company Limited started because a few of us nearby wanted to figure out how to handle our crops better without always running into town for every little thing. The roads around Shelgaon can get pretty muddy when the monsoon hits, but we make do. Most days you’ll find some of the local guys sitting around talking about the price of seeds or how the cotton is doing. It isn't a big office with fancy chairs or anything like that. It’s just a room where we keep our papers and meet up. Kannad is a decent place to work, though the sun gets really hot in the afternoons. We spend a lot of time out in the fields and then come back here to sort things out. Sometimes the power goes out, so we just sit outside under the tree. It’s been a slow process getting everything organized, but we are getting there. Neighbors drop by to ask questions about fertilizer or just to say hello. It feels more like a community gathering than a big business most of the time. We are just trying to make things a bit easier for the farmers around this part of the district. It’s honest work and we don’t try to make it sound like more than it is.
