Sharad Pawar Agro India Producer Company Limited is based in Anandwadi, which is part of the Paithain area. We operate out of Vaijanath Narayan Shelke’s place. It is a small village setup where things move a bit slower than in the big cities. Most of us here are listed on the local BPL lists, so we know what it means to work hard for every bit of income. We are not a big fancy firm. We are just a group of farmers who decided to pool our resources together. You can usually find a few of us sitting on the porch talking about the cost of fertilizer or the state of the local roads. We handle the agro side of things for the people around here. The paperwork can be a headache sometimes but we get through it. Our days start early before the sun gets too high and we usually wrap up when it starts to get dark. There is no marketing team here, just people who know how to use a shovel and a plow. We focus on the basics and try to make sure everyone in our group gets a fair shake. Anandwadi is a small place but we have a lot of heart in what we do. It’s just us, the land, and the crops we grow. We don't need much else to keep things moving along for the families here.
