We spend most of our time out here at Gut No. 272 in Babhulgaon Bk. It is a quiet spot in Vaijapur, just a part of the Aurangabad district where things move at a slower pace. Sanchita Agro Farmer Producer Company Limited started because a few of us nearby needed a way to handle things better. Shivaji Kisan Tupe’s place is where we usually meet up to talk about the crops or the weather. It isn’t some big fancy office with glass walls. It is just a regular building where we keep our records and try to figure out the next season. Working in agriculture in this part of Maharashtra means you get used to the dust and the heat. We deal with the stuff that comes out of the ground every day. Some days are long, especially when the harvest is coming up and everyone is busy in the fields. We don't have a lot of staff or a marketing team. It’s mostly just us locals. If you come by Babhulgaon, you’ll see how it is. We are just trying to keep the work going for the farmers around here. It gets a bit hectic sometimes, but that is just how farming life goes. We don't do much fancy talking. Most of what we do is just practical work, looking after the seeds and the soil. It’s a basic setup but it works for what we need to get done.
