Sakhi Sobati Mahila Farmer Producer Company Limited

We started this Sakhi Sobati group right here in Kumbhephal, which is a bit outside Aurangabad. It’s a group of women from the village who decided to join up and handle our farming business as one. We use the space at Babasaheb Hiraman Trigote’s place to meet and keep our records. Mostly, we are just busy with the daily chores and looking after the crops. It’s not easy being a woman in farming, but when we work as a company, it feels like we have a bit more say in things. We deal with whatever the season throws at us, whether it's too much rain or not enough. There isn't any big boss here, just a bunch of us trying to get a fair price for what we grow. We spend a lot of time talking about fertilizers, water, and where to sell the harvest. The office isn't much to look at, just a practical spot for us to get together. We like it that way because it keeps things simple. It’s a lot of work balancing the home and the fields, but being part of this producer company helps us share the load. People around Kumbhephal know us. We are just local women trying to make a living and keep our families going. We don’t use fancy words or big promises, we just do the work every day without much fuss.
