Parashara Krishi Farmer Producer Company Limited

We are located over at Phulambri, specifically at Chaya Lakade’s place, number 16. That’s where Parashara Krishi Farmer Producer Company Limited is run from. It’s basically just a central spot for a few of us local farmers to get together and sort out our business. Farming in this part of the country has its ups and downs. One day you think everything is going great, and the next day you’re worrying about the market prices dropping. We figured that by forming this company, we could maybe save some money by buying things together. It's not a big corporate setup. Most of the time we have dirt on our boots and we’re thinking about the next season’s planting. We don't have any fancy mission statements. We just want to make a living and keep our farms going. It’s honest work, and it’s often very tiring. We meet up when we can to talk about which seeds worked well and which ones were a waste of money. Having this group means we aren't alone when things get tough. We use Chaya’s place as a base because it’s easy for everyone to get to. We’re just regular people from Phulambri trying to do right by our families and our land. It’s not always organized perfectly, but we manage to get the crops out and the bills paid, which is what matters in the end.
