Pandurang Farmers Producer Companylimited is out here in Vaijapur, specifically in Chourwaghalgaon. Our office is actually at Ramnath Rangnath Moin’s place, which is Gut No 114. If you know the Aurangabad area, you know it can get pretty dry, so we spend a lot of time talking about water and how to manage the soil better. We aren't a big city operation with shiny glass windows. It is just a group of local farmers who wanted to have a bit more control over how our produce gets sold. Most of us have been farming these lands for years, following what our fathers and grandfathers did. We decided to register as a company because it helps with the paperwork when we need to buy seeds or sell in larger quantities. Some days are just spent sitting around a table drinking tea and looking at accounts, which none of us really enjoy compared to being out in the dirt. But it’s necessary work. The village is quiet, and everyone knows everyone else here. When we have a meeting, you can usually hear the tractors passing by outside. We don’t have fancy speeches or big plans to take over the world. We just want to make sure the farmers in our group get a fair deal for the hard work they put in every day under the sun. It’s a bit of a struggle sometimes, but we are doing it together.
