Most of the people involved are just farmers from the nearby fields who decided it was better to work together than to try and do everything alone. We don't have a big corporate building or anything like that. It's more of a home-style office where we sit around and discuss the crops and the prices for the season. The dirt roads out here can get a bit messy when it rains, but that’s just life in the village. We spend a lot of time talking about seeds and water. Sometimes the electricity goes out in the middle of the day, so we just sit outside and wait for it to come back on. It is not always easy running a business from a place like this, but we manage. Everyone knows Bhanudas, so it’s easy to find us if you ask anyone in the village. We handle a lot of the paperwork for the local growers right from this spot. It’s mostly just us trying to figure out the best way to move our produce to the bigger markets. It is honest work and keeps us busy from sunrise to late evening.
