Down at Nilkanteshwar Wasti in Kerhala, that’s where you’ll find Nagzari Agro Producer Company Limited. We are located at number 146 in the Sillod area. It’s a quiet spot, but there is always work happening in the fields around us. We are just a bunch of farmers from Aurangabad who thought it would be better to work as a unit. Farming alone is getting harder every year with costs going up. By being a company, we can buy what we need together and maybe get a slightly better deal. We aren't trying to be some huge enterprise. We just want to make sure our families are fed and the land stays healthy. Most days involve a lot of walking through the rows and checking on the plants. We meet up at the Wasti to discuss what’s working and what isn't. Some of us have been farming here for thirty years, others are just starting out. We share what we know. It’s not always easy to agree on everything, but we manage. The soil here is what gives us our living, so we treat it with respect. We don't use fancy words to describe what we do. It’s just farming, plain and simple. We hope for rain, work through the heat, and try to make a go of it as a group of neighbors together.
