Mujmulepatil Rural Farmers Producer Company Limited

We are based out of House Number 163 here in Parturnandra. It’s a quiet spot, mostly just fields and a few houses clustered together. Mujmulepatil Rural Farmers Producer Company Limited started because a few of us neighbors realized we were all facing the same problems with seeds and the markets. My cousin and I spend most of our mornings checking on the crops before it gets too hot to breathe out there. The office is really just a room with some plastic chairs and a lot of paperwork piled up on a wooden desk. People from the village stop by all the time, sometimes to talk about the company, but usually just to drink tea and complain about the electricity going off. We don’t have fancy equipment or a big sign out front, just the house number and our name on a small board. The soil here can be stubborn depending on the year, and we spend a lot of time just watching the clouds. It’s a lot of physical work, and our hands are always dirty from the dirt and the grease from the tractors. We don’t try to be anything we aren’t. We are just local farmers who know this land pretty well. Sometimes the paperwork gets confusing, and we have to head into town to get things sorted, but mostly we are right here in the village trying to make sure everyone gets a fair shake. It’s not a glamorous life, but it’s ours. We hope to keep the farm in the family for years.
